Stephanie Heusser, Ph.D.
Principal investigator

Dr Heusser is a Group Leader at the Wallenberg Centre for Molecular Medicine and the Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences at Linköping University, Sweden. Before establishing her group in Linköping in 2025, she worked at the Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, first as a postdoctoral researcher and later as a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher and Assistant Professor. During this time, her research was supported by prestigious fellowships, including a Lundbeck Foundation Fellowship and a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship. She received her PhD in Biochemistry from the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at Stockholm University. Earlier in her training, she completed her Master’s thesis through a collaboration between the University of Texas at Austin and ETH Zurich, and obtained both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences from ETH Zurich, Switzerland.
